The implementation of the project contributes to the theme of the Local Development Strategy: Environmental protection and nature conservation, within the framework of the measure Encouraging nature-friendly and environmentally and energy-responsible living in urban settlements. The children’s playground on Koščakov Hill will be integrated into a sensibly completed whole of the recreation area, which will offer active leisure time for all age groups and satisfy the needs for the moment, socialising and creativity in nature practically in the very centre of the city.
It is planned to arrange a children’s playground with one combined or several individual children’s playgrounds, a clearing for group play or exercise for individuals or groups, a forest park with sets of tables and benches for socialising, resting, creating or performing presentations for various interest and age groups.
With the project, a well-rounded and sensibly completed recreational social space is obtained in the area of Koščak Hill in Grosuplje, next to the already completed exercise island with a total area of approx. 780 m2. The playground itself will be divided into three units: the playing area (approx. 200 m2), the playground or a clearing for group play (approx. 60 m2) and a forest park with tables and benches (approx. 100 m2), the rest of the area is represented by well-kept banks with retaining walls, which can also be used for sitting or playing.
